Johnson County Emergency Management & Homeland Security, in conjunction with the Kansas Division of Emergency Management is offering an emergency preparedness training course called "Emergency Responders and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community". It is scheduled for September 18th in Olathe. If anyone knows of facility operators and planners in the Johnson County area who serve the deaf and hard of hearing community or local citizens who are deaf and hard of hearing and want to learn more about how to be prepared for emergencies, please have them visit https://ks.train.org/ to find out more or register.
The Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will provide a continental breakfast for the course participants. This course is sponsored by the Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Community Emergency Preparedness Information Network (CEPIN).
